Q. Are newcomers to our Schutzhund training group welcome?

A. Yes, but you must have your own dog to train.

Q. Are kids welcome to train?

A. You bet. One of our active training teams is a 10 year old girl with a working line GSD.

Q. How do I get to your training field.

A. There is a link to the Pine Ridge field to the left. We often train at other locations. Join our e-mail list by clicking here to get the current schedule and training locations.

Q. Can I get hurt doing Schutzhund training?

A. Yes.

In addition to the list of injuries you can get doing any outdoor athletic activity, you can also be scratched, bruised, and or even get accidentally bitten by your own dog if you are not careful.

Schutzhund is a contact sport and we take safety seriously. Please acquaint yourself with our training rules. before coming out to train with us.

The rules are designed to keep everyone safe, so we enforce the rules.

You must sign a waiver to participate.

Q. Is Joliet Schutzhund affiliated with Mittelwest?

A. We are friends with Team Mittelwest and love their beautiful German Shepherd Dogs. Some of our group members own Mittelwest dogs. We also use the same great local company to do our websites ;-), but we are two separate groups.
